Harvest Festival

We celebrated our Harvest Festival on Wednesday, 19th October 2016. 3J led us in a wonderful celebration – they told us all about how fortunate we are as we have plenty of food to eat. Our Harvest Gifts were taken to The Missionaries of Charity in Liverpool. Thank you to all those who donated any Harvest goods.

Thank you for our food.

May we appreciate what we have

and never take it for granted.

We pray for those around the world, who do not have enough

to provide for their family.

We pray for a good harvest,

for generosity and love,

as we seek a better, fairer world.

We ask this through

Christ our Lord, Amen.

Sullivan Spiritual Garden

On Wednesday, 6th July 2016, our Sullivan Spiritual Garden was blessed by Father Barry.

The garden, which was developed and brought to life by Mrs McCaughrean, is named after Mrs Sullivan, our old Headteacher.

It is a place for us to flourish and grow through prayers.

Father Barry blessed the Sullivan Spiritual Garden with Holy Water and said the following prayer of blessing:

Lord God, may this garden be a blessing to all who enjoy it,

may it be a delight and joy to all who look after it and cherish it.

May it be a place of safety and care for each other;

a plot of earth which grows and blooms and flowers;

where soft refreshing rain falls on soil full of promise,

where our eyes and ears and noses are refreshed by beauties

of your creation and gifts of each other.

May this be a garden set aside in the gounds dedicated to our school

may our school grow friendship, hospitality, and care for each other.

May we all know your love for us comes close, in this garden, in our hearts,

for you are alive for evermore, walking in the garden of our world.

Amen.
